Changing society one step at a time...

i apologies if this comes across rude or not what ppl are wanting or expecting to hear... sometimes the right thing is the hardest to hear and hardest to do...this is why i have to share what im feeling...

Some things in this world make me feel so angry and so hopeless in times. Things such as poverty and slavery in developing countries snd how little people in our society know about whats going on. And how many people are apathetic to everything that doesnt effect them.

i hate that society tells us we need to be skinnier and have clearer skin. i hate that young people look up to models in magazines and adverts and yet companies photoshop and edit pictures to make models more beautiful or skinner... it makes me mad that people look to these images and feel insecure and like they dont measure up and are worth nothing.

it makes me so angry when i walk down the street and guys call sexual comments out the window as they drive past. why cant someone walk around without hearing these comments and feeling violated. Women are Not impressed that u just screamed out derogative comments so dont waste your time.

My heart was broken when i heard that the dove campaign for real beauty was hypocritical... i thought finally a company thats going against over sexualisasion of woman in ads only to find out that dove is owned by a company called unilever which also owns lynx...everyone knows lynx as a brand which over sexualises women in their ads in order to sell the product. a complete opposite of what the dove campain stands for. If Dove company heads were actually serious in changing society's view on real beauty they would be changing their other prducts too but they are using it as a money grabbing technique which will sell more dove poducts as it appeals to people who think they are helping with developing better self esteem for young people. Shame on Dove.

i hope for a society that accepts people for who they are inside and not what they look like ouside. i wait for the future when young people dont look in the mirror and judge how they look and think they will never measure up and are worth nothing. i want more for our nation and our world i want to see people from developing world countries getting an education and being free from slavery. i personally would prefer to pay more for everything then think about someone the same age as me or later in life same age as my children working 13 hour days just so i get a pair of shoes or block of chocolate a few dollars cheaper.

i hope for companies to start changing ways they advertise and make products and other people are guranteed to follow suit.
